I should apologise because, for the second time, I'm going to reference the 90s sitcom Seinfeld. I should, but I won't, because Seinfeld is probably the best series of all time and anyone who hasn't seen it needs to correct that immediately (all nine seasons are available on Netflix).
Chapter 87, The Chaperone. Elaine, who is an editor, has an interview at the publishing house where Jackie Kennedy Onassis worked before her death. At one point, Elaine mentions that she likes to think she has a little bit of Jackie's grace, but the interviewer cuts her off: βYou can't have a little bit of grace. You either have grace or you don't. And you can't acquire grace either".
Well, Ajax's marketing team seems to agree with the editorial's interviewer: de Godenzonen may not be at its best moment, nor is it a rich club, but they have a grace, dignity and elegance that petrodollars will never be able to buy.
